Gorgeous Granada

Gorgeous Granada

We’ve just had a sneaky overnighter to Granada, it’s Christmas, why not! Granada is only 1 hour 15 mins away, so perfect for a day trip as well as a little break as there’s a wide choice of hotels in the centre or or just on the outskirts but within easy walking distance. There’s so much to see and do in Granada, of course the Alhambra and it’s stunning gardens, the Albaicin and ancient moorish parts of the city, the Roman baths with their amazing architecture. There’s some great Moroccan shops, lots of fab cafes, bars and restaurants and traditional tapas bars. After all this sightseeing rest your aching limbs in secret hidden plazas surrounded by orange trees. There’s some amazing panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, very snowy when we visited. There’s plenty of churches and Granada’s Cathedral is simply stunning. Fancy a bit of science and animals? Take a trip to the science park and it’s subtropical zoo with toucans and lemurs!. We finished off our visit with a spot of Christmas retail therapy at the impressive Nevada shopping centre. We love Granada and are very lucky to have it on our doorstep. {CAPTION}
